12-String Bass EBX

Product Description

12-String Bass EBX is an EBX expansion for Toontrack's EZbass, built around a carefully sampled 12-string electric bass. It delivers a unique, chiming, harmonically rich sound that still carries the earth-shaking low end of a regular bass, making it a great fit for anything from pop and rock to progressive, metal and experimental music.

The phenomenon of 12-string basses first surfaced in the seventies and gained further prominence during the 1980s when popularized by several notable players. Since then, it's earned somewhat of a cult status and etched its mark on a number of genres. In this EBX, Toontrack has carefully captured a pristine, modern-day instrument and sprinkled in presets and MIDI performances that give you a total package for use in virtually any style imaginable.

Tuned like a regular four-string bass (E-A-D-G), but with each string accompanied by two individual octave strings, it produces a multi-textured sound brimming with bright and shimmering overtones that still carry the traditional thunderous low-end roar of a regular bass.

In addition to the instrument itself, this EBX also includes a basic collection of basslines as well as a selection of mix-ready presets, spanning anything from the absolutely bare-bones and basic to presets involving amps, modulation and various effects, designed to bring you the utmost width this bass can offer. As a bonus, each preset also offers a layer of an FM synth, allowing you to seamlessly blend in a texture of classic synth bass to further boost the low end of your tone.

If you're looking for a bass that has twelve times the tone, you need three times the strings. Don't stop at four, six or even eight. Supercharge your EZbass with this expansion and crank it up to twelve.
