Product Description
Performance II Coated is a two-ply drumhead from Aquarian, built for low-tuned toms with a fat, powerful sound. It delivers plenty of punch and the classic rock tone many of us grew up loving. A great way to make even a small, budget drum kit sound big and powerful.
Construction
The head is made using Aquarian's "Vacuum Tuned Process", a method that removes air bubbles and wrinkles between the two plies during manufacturing. The two plies are 7 mil thick each and are sealed only at the edges, not in the center. This tames unwanted overtones and shifts the focus toward the low frequencies.
Sound Character
Performance II Coated is designed for low tuning and rewards you with a full, fat tone and clear punch on toms. It's the kind of weight and fullness heard on classic rock recordings. The head works especially well if you want a big, powerful sound without needing to invest in a more expensive drum kit.
