12" Meinl Classics Custom Dark Trash Splash Cymbal - Dark

Product Description

The Meinl Classics Custom Dark Trash Splash is a 12" splash cymbal with a fast attack and a bright, shimmering sound seasoned with a darker low end. The heat-treated B10 alloy gives the cymbal its dark look and wide sound spectrum, while the cut-out holes give it a short, trashy sound. Suited for rock, metal, pop, fusion and studio work.

The cymbal is cast from B10 bronze (90% copper, 10% tin) and produced using a computer-controlled Hi-Tech process. A special heat-treatment formula gives it both its dark appearance and its distinctive sound. The extra hammering adds a fuller low end, while the overall voice stays bright with a clear shimmer and a medium-high pitch.

Sound Character

Attack is fast, sustain is medium with a clear "spark shower" in the decay, and volume sits at a medium level with a brilliant edge. The cut-out holes give the cymbal its short, trashy character typical of a trash splash.

Who It's For

A great effects cymbal for players who want a short, characterful accent in rock, metal, pop, fusion or studio settings.
