12" Meinl Classics Custom Dark Splash, CC12DAS

Product Description

The Meinl Classics Custom Dark Splash is a 12" splash cymbal with a quick, sharp attack and a bright, shimmering sound spiced up with a fuller low end. The special heat treatment gives the cymbal its distinctive dark look along with a unique tonal character. It works well across genres like rock, metal, pop, and fusion.

The cymbal is made from B10 bronze (90% copper, 10% tin) using hi-tech computer-controlled manufacturing. Extra hammering contributes to the fuller low end, while the alloy's wide sound spectrum delivers a bright tone with clear shimmer and a medium-high pitch. Sustain is short and volume is medium, making this splash easy to control in a mix.

Sound Character

Bright tone with a dark low end for added fullness. The attack is quick and clear, with a short decay that suits short accents well.
