Product Description
The Evans EC2S is an easy-tuning drumhead with a built-in EC Control Ring, designed to deliver quick, predictable tone without a lot of extra muffling. Compared to the previous model, the EC2S offers a more open tone in the smaller sizes, while the larger sizes get better control over overtones.
The EC Control Ring is a built-in muffling ring around the edge of the head that removes the need for adding your own dampening to tame unwanted overtones. The result is a head that's easy to tune and gives a clear, controlled tone right out of the box – handy if you'd rather spend your time playing than fine-tuning.
The surface is frosted, giving a softer attack and a warmer character than a clear head, while the control ring construction keeps overtones in check even when you dig in harder.
