The Remo Colortone Smoke Emperor is a two-ply drumhead that pairs the Emperor series' focused tone with a smoky, semi-transparent look. It's built with Remo's Skyndeep® Imaging technology, giving it a striking visual finish without compromising projection, tone, or durability.
If you want to give your kit a bit of personality, the Colortone series is a simple way to do it while keeping the sound characteristics you know from a standard Emperor head. The two-ply construction adds strength and delivers a full, focused tone that works well in both the rehearsal room and on stage.
Look and construction
This head is built with two plies, giving it greater durability and a more controlled, focused tone compared to single-ply heads. The Colortone line with Skyndeep technology is also available in Orange, Yellow, Red, Green, and Blue in addition to Smoke, and the technology is used across several Remo models: Emperor®, Powerstroke® 77, and Powerstroke® P3, in sizes from 8" to 26". This particular head is supplied in 12" and in the Smoke finish.
