12" Evans UV1 - Coated
Evans 12'' Coated UV1 is a single-ply drumhead made of a 10mil film with UV-processed coating. Gives a broad tuning range and easy tuning.
Product Description
Evans 12'' Coated UV1 is a single-ply drumhead built from a unique durable 10mil film. The head gives a dynamic sound with brilliant top end and a full bottom end, and suits a wide range of musical contexts.
Construction
The head is coated and processed with patented UV technology, using Level 360 Technology. This gives a good fit, a broad tuning range and makes the head easy to tune.
Sound
The tone is dynamic and open, with a good top end and warm bottom end. Playing softly off-centre brings out nice overtones with a clear identity, while harder hits give a rounder attack reminiscent of a two-ply head.
Tuning
Tuned low, the head gives a softer attack with a good bottom end and good sustain in the tone. Tuned higher, the sound becomes more focused, with a firm attack and a full core.
