Product Description
The Remo Powerstroke 3 Coated is a single-ply drumhead with a built-in dampening ring on the underside, which removes some of the sharpest overtones for a fuller, more controlled tone. The coated surface gives a warmer, drier stick attack and works well as a batter head on toms.
A fully undamped single-ply head can sound quite ringy, especially in live settings where microphones pick up every overtone. The Powerstroke 3 solves this without extra dampening gel or rings — the dampening is built into the head itself, concentrated near the edge where it has the most effect with the least impact on feel.
