The Remo Pinstripe 12" coated is a double-ply drumhead with a dampened attack and shorter sustain than a single-ply head. The extra ply gives you a more controlled, focused tone with fewer overtones.
Thanks to the double-ply construction you get a tighter, more defined sound with faster decay. The coated surface softens the attack and adds a bit of warmth compared to a clear head.
