Product Description
The Meinl CA12 Caixa Drum is a lightweight aluminum caixa built for samba and Brazilian percussion. At 12" in diameter and 4 1/2" deep, it delivers the sharp, cutting crack caixas are known for, letting it stand out in a percussion ensemble.
The aluminum shell keeps the drum light to carry and comfortable to play on a shoulder strap through long sets or parades. The head is replaceable (HEAD-51), so you can swap it once it wears out instead of buying a new drum. A standard snare mechanism gives the caixa its characteristic buzzy attack.
A matching case, the MCA-12, is available for storage and transport between gigs.
