Craftsmanship

Byzance cymbals are made at Meinl's Turkish factory using traditional handcraft methods. Each cymbal is cast from B20 bronze, then heated, rolled and cooled following a carefully proven process until the correct thickness is reached. The bell is shaped before hand-hammering forms the cymbal, and the surface is hand-lathed before shipping onward. The raw cymbals are quality-checked, sorted and finished at Meinl's German facility, including laser logo engraving, brilliant finish and sandblasting where applicable. This combination of Turkish craftsmanship and German quality control is key to Byzance's warm sound and consistent standard.

Who It's For

A great splash for players who want a clear, short accent with character in the mix, across pop, rock, funk and fusion settings.
