12"/13"/16" Evans Onyx - Coated 3-Pack
Evans Onyx tom head pack, 12"/13"/16". Two 7.5 mil black film plies with clear coating for a full, open sound.
Product Description
Evans Onyx is a thick, two-ply drumhead in the ETP-ONX2-S tom pack, covering 12", 13" and 16". It delivers a full, durable tone with a surprisingly open character despite its thickness. A solid choice if you want a head that holds up to heavy playing without sacrificing tone.
Onyx is built from two plies of 7.5 mil black film, finished with a clear coating. That makes it one of the thicker heads in the range, which would normally mean a more muted sound. Onyx breaks that pattern, keeping an open, airy character while standing up to hard hitting.
Construction and fit
The head uses Evans' Level 360 collar, giving a more even contact surface against the bearing edge. This helps with fit, gives a wide tuning range, and makes the head easy to tune evenly across the drum.
Who It's For
Great for players who play often and want a durable head without giving up tone quality.
