Product Description
The Remo Ambassador Coated in 11-7/8" is a single-ply drumhead with the warm, classic Ambassador tone – made in the metric pre-size measurement to fit older drums, including certain vintage Premier models, that don't follow today's standard imperial sizing. It works well as either a batter or resonant head, giving a round, musical response with plenty of body without becoming uncontrolled or overly ringy.
The Ambassador series is one of Remo's most widely used head types, built from a single ply of coated film. The coating tames the harshest overtones and produces a warmer, softer attack compared to a clear head, while still keeping good sensitivity and dynamic range.
If you're unsure whether your drum uses a metric size, it's worth measuring the bearing edge before ordering – pre-size heads like this one are made to fit the exact older, non-standard diameters and won't seat properly on a drum built to modern imperial sizing.
