Performance II is a two-ply tom head from Aquarian, built to deliver a fat, powerful tone with plenty of punch – the classic rock sound many drummers are after. It's especially suited to low tuning and can make even a small, budget kit sound big and powerful.

Construction

The head is made from two 7 mil plies. Aquarian's own "Vacuum Tuned Process" is used during manufacturing, a method that eliminates air bubbles and wrinkles between the plies so the head stays even and consistent across the whole surface.

The two plies are sealed only at the edges, not in the center. This tames unwanted overtones and shifts the focus toward the low frequencies, which is a big part of why the head sounds so full and controlled.

Sound Character
