The Meinl 10" Pure Alloy Extra Hammered Splash (PAC10S) is a splash cymbal made at Meinl's own factory in Germany using computer-controlled hammering. It delivers a bright, clean sound with a short, quick attack, ideal for crisp accents in rock, pop, fusion, R&B, reggae and studio work.
The Pure Alloy series is made with computer-controlled hammering that produces an even, controlled bright sound typical of the Central European tonal character. On this splash that shows up as a short, quick attack combined with a sound character described as medium-dark despite the bright fundamental.
The cymbal has a light weight and medium to short sustain, with medium to low volume, qualities that let it sit easily in a mix without dominating it. Pitch sits in the high/mid register.
