Product Description
The Evans EC2S Frosted is an easy-tuning tom head with a built-in EC Control Ring, a dampening ring built right into the head instead of being applied separately. Compared to the previous model, the EC2S has a more open tone in smaller sizes and better overtone control in larger sizes.
The idea behind the EC Control Ring is to skip adding your own muffling to tame unwanted overtones – the ring is fixed to the head, giving you a controlled, focused tone right out of the box, while the head still tunes quickly and easily.
The Frosted coating gives a warmer, slightly softer attack than a fully clear head, which many players find works well on a drum kit where you want a full tone without it getting unruly.
