The Fiberskyn 3 Ambassador from Remo is a 10" tom head with a dark, warm, round tone and a soft attack. Its fiber-textured surface works great with both sticks and brushes, and the head is especially popular in jazz and orchestral settings where a controlled, warm fundamental tone is desired.
The head is built as a single-ply poly-spun fiber 10 mil Mylar® film, giving it a medium-weight feel and a warm, resonant sound in the mid range. The fiber surface is excellent for both sticks and brushes. Fiberskyn 3 heads are best known for jazz and orchestral applications, and the same series is also used on snare drums, bass drums, and World Percussion instruments in other sizes – but at 10" this is a tom head.
