Craftsmanship

Byzance cymbals are made at Meinl's Turkish factory using traditional methods. Each cymbal is cast from B20 bronze, then heated, rolled and cooled following a carefully proven schedule until the correct thickness is reached. The bell is shaped before hand-hammering forms the cymbal, and models with a lathed surface are hand-lathed before being sent to Germany for quality control, sorting and finishing, including laser logo, brilliant finish, or sandblasting. It's the combination of Turkish craftsmanship and German quality control that gives Byzance its warm sound and consistent standard.

Byzance is available in six variants: Traditional, Vintage, Jazz, Extra Dry, Dark and Brilliant, each with its own sound and look.
