10" 2002 Mega Bell, Paiste
A legendary cymbal series that shaped rock history since 1971. Paiste 2002 still holds its own today, a natural choice for many drummers.
Product Description
The Paiste 2002 Mega Bell is a 10" effects cymbal with a thick, powerful bell that cuts straight through the mix. Cast in CuSn8 bronze alloy ("2002 Bronze"), it builds on the classic 2002 sound that has shaped rock music since the 70s. A good choice if you want to add a distinct, long-lasting accent sound to your kit.
The CuSn8 alloy gives the cymbal its brilliant, clear yet warm character. Combined with a high energy level and strong projection, it cuts through even in loud settings.
Sound Character
The 2002 Mega Bell has a heavy thickness and covers a wide volume range, from medium low to very loud. The attack is very clear and the bell is controlled, together producing an organic and intense sound. The chick sound is unusually long, making the cymbal just as useful as an accent and effects voice. It suits classic rock, blues, punk, hard rock, heavy metal and most modern metal styles, as well as crossover, country rock, ska, rockabilly, funk, R&B, soul and gospel.
Who It's For
A good fit if you play medium soft to loud music, live or in the studio, and want a cymbal with a clear attack and long bell sustain rather than a subdued background tone.
