The Evans Onyx Rock Pack is a set of three batter heads in 10", 12" and 16", sized for a typical rock tom configuration. The heads are black and coated, built from two plies of 7.5 mil black film with a clear top coating, making them among the thickest heads in the Evans range. Despite the thickness, they retain a surprisingly open sound.
The dual-ply film construction makes the heads extra durable and gives them a full, fat sound suited to players who want a tough head without sacrificing tonal range. The Onyx heads use Evans' Level 360 collar, a construction that provides even contact with the bearing edge all the way around.
