Product Description
The Meinl Byzance Vintage Smack Stack B024VSM is a 3-piece cymbal stack in 10", 12" and 14" sizes, made from B20 bronze. The discs are specially shaped and matched to together produce a sound reminiscent of an analog drum machine hand clap - short, dry and distinct. Great for reinforcing a backbeat or accenting syncopations in a groove.
By tightening or loosening the wing nut on your cymbal stand, you control the sustain: high pressure gives short, tight accents, while lower pressure allows a bit more sustain. The sound is dark, dry and low in pitch, with a medium-to-low volume - this is an effects cymbal rather than a main cymbal, meant to spice up the groove.
