The Evans Onyx ETP-ONX2-F is a fusion tom pack with black coated heads in 10", 12" and 14". Each head is built from two plies of 7.5 mil black film with a clear coating, making it one of the thickest heads around – yet it still delivers a surprisingly open tone. A good choice if you want a durable head with a full sound that doesn't feel choked.
The double-film construction stands up well to hard playing while keeping the sound full-bodied. The coating gives a warm, slightly muted attack that suits both studio and stage use where durability matters.
Construction
The heads feature Evans' Level 360 collar profile, which improves fit against the bearing edge, widens the tuning range, and makes the heads easier to tune compared to traditional heads.
