High-end evolution of the EAD concept

EAD50 represents Yamaha’s flagship EAD model, taking the concept far beyond simple acoustic capture. It precisely captures and processes your acoustic drum sound while seamlessly integrating electronic sources, giving drummers full real-time control over their sound in any playing situation.

New DSU50 sensor with improved microphone technology

The new DSU50 sensor features a high-quality condenser microphone with custom matched-pair capsules and FET circuitry, combined with a high-precision kick trigger. This design captures the entire drum kit from a single point with clean stereo imaging, accurate low-end articulation and improved dynamic response.

Multitrack USB, sampling and looping

EAD50 allows multitrack audio capture directly via USB, making it suitable for serious studio and production workflows. Built-in sampling and looping functions enable drummers to record, trigger and loop their own playing in real time, opening up new creative possibilities for live performance, teaching and experimentation.

Expanded connectivity and wireless control

Compared to previous EAD models, EAD50 offers expanded in- and outputs and is designed to act as a central hub in hybrid drum setups. Bluetooth connectivity enables seamless wireless integration with the EAD Touch App and Rec’n’Share, streamlining sound shaping, recording, video creation and sharing.
