The Meinl Pure Alloy 12" Splash (PA12S) is a small splash cymbal with a bright, clear sound, made in Germany from B12 bronze with computerized hammering. It works as a fresh, transparent complement to darker, more complex cymbals such as the Byzance series, and suits rock, pop, fusion, R&B, reggae and studio work.

The Pure Alloy series is Meinl's line focused on a clear, Central European sound character. Even, controlled and bright. Manufacturing takes place at Meinl's German factory using computerized hammering, giving a consistent surface and sound throughout the series. This particular model uses B12 alloy. Meinl may choose other alloys for other models in the series depending on the desired sound ideal.
